I'm so pleased that my cyanotype, 'Bamboo Ocean ( 竹海 ),' sold at the highest tier, and the funds are going to support the fabulous non-profit school Photographic Center Northwest! This original print was created with real bamboo leaves and a few hours of sunlight during the month of the Summer Solstice.
Cyanotypes are the result of a very old, classic process dating from the 1800s, which use sunlight to develop. I created this one-of-a-kind print in celebration of the Summer Solstice 2017.
