Claire E. Bailey is a photographic artist currently based in Memphis, Tennessee.  Her work blurs the line between savoring memory and inhabiting the moment. She works primarily with film, which lends itself to pursuit of this balance.

Analog photography is an art of transformation. Like many transformations, it arises out of darkness. Tiny bits and pieces of light in the darkness bring the images to life in the darkroom. Flood the room with light and the image will not emerge. The darkness is essential. 

All it takes is a little light to bring forth indelible beauty from the void. Just patience, and a little light.
